About Me

Hello! Welcome to my site. My name is Jeff and I am a 29-year-old college student from the USA.

I have ran into some health problems that make it difficult for me to work a traditional job, so I really had to do some self-reflecting and try to find out how I want to get about the rest of my life. I have been in the workforce since I was 14-years-old. I have worked in restaurants, retail, call centers, technical support, network marketing, and all manner of things over the years. I know that I am fortunate that I have been able to stay employed throughout my life up until now, and I have been able to meet some great people over my career.

However, even before my health issues I was beginning to feel burnt out by the job industry. I have lived paycheck to paycheck most of my life. It just gets harder and harder to find and keep a job, especially as employers begin to scrutinize prospects more and more through sophisticated background checks; which usually includes checking your social media accounts.

I am also just simply tired of missing out on family events and not being able to travel. I am tired of filling out job applications and doing interviews, kissing butt, and trying to appear perfect. I am tired of not being able to say what I want on social media because I could possible get fired.I have never had a problem with working hard; I just have a problem with being a slave and not having the time to live life to its fullest.

So, while I was out of work,  I did some research on different ways to generate income independently. I dabbled in some forex trading with some demo accounts before I realized that it just legal gambling, and it would take years to get good at it. I also looked online jobs such as “search engine evaluator.” It is not an easy job. and you can easily be terminated (you work as an independant contractor).

The one thing you got to be cautious about when looking for ways to make money online is scams.  Luckily I never spent any money on a scam, but some of them did lead me on pretty well. I finally decided to try affiliate marketing at the beginning of the year, and since then my online income has increased gradually every month.

Right now, I am not at a point where I can fully live on my online income, but I have a very realistic chance of doing so by AT LEAST the end of the year (2015). Affiliate marketing does not promise quick or easy money; indeed it is hard work.

However, it is something that you can do in your free time and at your own pace. Also, you can write about stuff that you like and make money. Its cost very little to get started, although you will need to spend a little bit to optimize your chances of success.

Anyways, I created this site to try and help people find an independent income online. I wanted to share the research that I have done and convey what has worked for me and what has not; as well as help people navigate there way through the scam minefield that unfortunately dominates the internet.

Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you find it to be a great resource on your way to freedom and independence. If you would like to get a hold of me, leave a comment below, email me at Jeff@hireyourself.org, or you can contact me at Wealthy Affiliate, where I hang out alot.
